The Ephorate of Antiquities of Arkadia and the Archaeological Museum of Tegea under the auspices of Municipality of Tripolis collaborates with Peripatos to celebrate the International Museum Day. The theme for 2017 is “Museums and contested histories: Saying the unspeakable in museums.”

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME
9.00–10.30 & 11.00– 12.30: Educational Programme entitled: The people and their myths, an endless story
Starting with the history of the ancient city of Tegea, the children are invited to explore the hidden aspects of the region’s greatest historical and mythical personalities through interactive and creative activities.
Saturday (20/5) and Sunday (21/5): GUIDED TOURS – MUSEUM KIT PRESENTATION FOR TEACHERS
10.00, 12.00 & 14.00 : Guided Tours – Museum Kit Presentation
Over the weekend guided tours will be offered to the public as well as information sessions for Teachers regarding the use of the Museum Kit, that we designed.
Saturday (20/5) and Sunday (21/5): ESCAPE ROOM – Escape the Museum
16.00–17.00, 17.30–18.30 & 19.00 – 20.00: Escape Room: Escape the Museum
For the first time in an Archaeological Museum in Greece, a lively mystery game! Collaboration, logic and quick thinking are the keys to solve the mystery. Gather clues, keys, codes, and puzzles in order to complete the mission. You have 1 hour. Will you escape?
* Escape the Museum is for groups of up to 5 people.
