Peripatos participates in the programme CRISALIS(CReative Initiatives in Social Enterprises for Assistance, Labour. Integration and Self-Development) funded by the AMIF (Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund) of the European Union.
The programme aims at the social inclusion and financial empowerment of 12 women, survivors of human trafficking. During the 18 months of the programme, CRISALIS provides actual job opportunities, creative workshops and co-creation opportunities, by the social enterprisesProgetto Quid(Italy) and Makers Unite (Netherlands), with the know-how and experience of The Language Project, a Greek organisation that implements language as an integration tool.
Peripatos participates in this programme through a series of creative and personal expression workshops focusing on the emotional benefits of art. Our workshops took place in July 2019 in Amsterdam and Verona. The creative experience that we designed and organised was intended to act both as a cause and a means for an inner healing process. The creations of the participants reflect the results of this introspection, either in colour or in clear text. Vivid colours, images of nature, but also portraits and words such as hope, respect, friends, time for reflection, reveal the psycho-composition and needs of these women.
We want to thank them for taking this step with us.
