Peripatos curates the photography exhibition entitled “Hasankeyf: Through her own eyes” hosted at the Melissa Network of Migrant Women. An exhibition presented by The Hasankeyf Workshop project.

The Hasankeyf Workshop is an initiative to socially and creatively empower women by providing them photography and art workshops and seminars to express themselves, and communicate the cultural heritage of their beautiful, historic village of Hasankeyf.

Displaying the creativity and the personal expression of young women used to obscurity this photography exhibition takes us to the beauty and life of Anatolia as they see it

There will also be screening of the short documentary “Atölye’de / Στο εργαστήριο” (At the Workshop), a production of Τhe Hasankeyf Workshop project about the life for women in Hasankeyf, as they reveal it to us, throughout the creative process of the workshops.

The exhibition is being carried out with the support of the Melissa Network of Migrant Women.

The Hasankeyf Workshop project is a co-production of Peripatos (Athens) and Özgür Kadin Kolektifi, women association (Batman) with the support of Diadrasis (NGO) and Tandem Turkey programme.

Tandem – Cultural Managers Exchange Turkey – EU is an initiative of the European Cultural Foundation (Amsterdam), MitÖst (Berlin) and Anadolu Kültür (Istanbul), and funded by Stiftung Mercator (Essen). Tandem Turkey aims at establishing long-term partnerships between cultural organisations from Turkey and the EU countries.
