Athena Pavlidou graduated from the School of Philology and the Department of Classics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She holds a master degree from the Interuniversity Postgraduate Programme “Museology-Cultural Management” of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has attended numerous conferences and seminars on the History, Philology, Archaeology, History of Art, Cultural Tourism, the Museum Education, the Cultural Heritage Management and the role of museums and cultural institutions in general in modern society. She finished her internship in the Onassis Cultural Centre of the Onassis Foundation and has voluntarily participated in the handling of various projects within the framework of cultural festivals and events. She currently, works as a philologist and has participated in the documentation and digitization of archives and museum collections of various institutions. She deals with the planning and implementation of cultural thematic routes and museum education programmes in her hometown, Thessaloniki.
