Peripatos participates in the program “Eco-literacy“, an initiative of Apivita, in collaboration with the Agoni Grammi Gonimi (Fertile Remote Areas) and New Wrinkle NGOs.
This winter we travel with our educational programme Land Art to Pindos schools to introduce students to this environmental art movement. Land art or earth art is art made directly in the landscape using natural materials such as rocks or twigs. Artworks created in nature, by nature and grow along with nature are at the heart of the movement and our programme.
Children are thrilled to get in touch with the Land Art movement, let their imagination run free and get inspired by nature. They create art pieces full of meaning and emotions. Natural materials take the form of a huge heart and a spiral, create little houses of wood, stones and pine needles, and plants and flowers transform into butterflies. Finally, on a green hill the words: “Land Art” are written with white stones.
