Museum education…online

Cultural educational programmes are some of our favourite activities. They give us the opportunity to tell stories, play, create and most importantly to interact with audiences of all ages. However, the crisis we have experienced the past years has severely limited museum education programmes and led us to seek new means and ways to stay in touch with our audience.

Out of this need, a new collaboration emerged …

Peripatos x Museotek

It is an innovative digital platform and application that allows remote and real-time tours of pupils in Museums and Cultural Sites throughout Greece.

Museotek is the result of a partnership between TETRAGON, Uni Systems and Mobics, which with their significant experience and know-how in their respective fields (Holistic Branding & Design, Information Technology and Internet Services) contributed to the realisation of their common vision: to maintain and strengthen the museums’ contact with people and people’s contact with culture.

A vision which we embrace, especially when it allows the enjoyment of Culture from everywhere.

A new service

In this context, our involvement includes the production of digital educational programmes for cultural institutions specifically designed for the distance-learning implementation and the online environment offered by Museotek. The design principles of the digital cultural and educational programmes we implement combine storytelling, interactivity and participation enhanced with multimedia content.

The result of this collaboration: four programmes!

The locked book – Music Library “Lilian Voudouri”

A hermetically sealed book has caused quite a stir. We discovered it on the shelves of the Music Library “Lilian Voudouri” of the Friends of Music Society and we are looking for the team that will solve the mystery. Following the clues hidden inside the library, we will try to give answers and unlock the book along with all the secrets it hides.

Are you ready to solve the case?

The educational programme combines the mystery, play, and the magic of music and dance. Students will look for musical clues and solve puzzles to uncover the messages of famous stories and musical compositions.

A Christmas Music Mystery – Music Library “Lilian Voudouri”

Something unexpected happened at the Music Library “Lilian Voudouri” at the Athens Concert Hall! On the shelves, between books, behind musical instruments, all over the place, walnuts appeared. We clean everything up, but the next day they are everywhere again. How peculiar is that? Will we ever discover the answer to this… Christmas Music Mystery?

This educational programme is implemented during the last weeks of each year.

We would like to thank Uni Systems for the invaluable support by sponsoring the programme.

Strofades: An unknown treasure in the middle of nowhere – Robert McCabe & Katerina Lymperopoulou

The educational programme entitled “Strofades: An unknown treasure in the middle of nowhere” has as its central theme the small complex of islands of the Ionian Sea, Strofades. Strofades’ microcosm has a lot to teach us. During the programme we will discover an ancient myth; the impressive castle-monastery and its fascinating history with Byzantine emperors; an important monastic community, with wild pirates; the imposing lighthouse; one of the most seismic areas in Europe; and a place with great environmental and ecological value.

This programme is based on the book, awarded by the Academy of Athens (2020), “The Last Monk of Strofades” and the exhibition of the same name that took place in 2020 at the Benaki Museum.
