Educational Programmes
Since its establishment, Peripatos has placed particular emphasis on the design of educational and museum education programmes, as well as related teaching materials. We believe that these form the foundation of “lifelong learning”, a practice we can nurture at every stage of life. Therefore, when learning happens in an experiential, collective, and creative way, it becomes a life-shaping experience. That is our goal: to transfer knowledge through actions, images, emotions, and participation.
Whether these are our own programmes or ones we design for other institutions, we follow three key methodological pillars:
1. Experiential approach: Knowledge is not theory – it is experience. Through creative workshops, storytelling frameworks, physical activities, and role-playing, children participate actively, connecting learning with lived experience.
2. On-site application of knowledge: Museums and cultural venues become laboratories for exploration. We don’t just “visit” a space – we explore, decode, and bring it to life. Every object becomes a trigger for reflection, dialogue, and action.
3. Collaboration and collectivity: We promote collaborative learning through group activities, expression, role exchange, and dialogue. This cultivates communication skills, empathy, and respect for diversity.
With these contemporary pedagogical approaches, we offer a multidimensional learning experience that -beyond knowledge- aims to:
- enhance creativity
- develop critical thinking
- encourage spontaneous expression
- discovering cultures, arts, and histories
Target Groups
Our programs are always adapted according to the age, skills, and interests of each audience. We primarily address:
- Students of all educational levels
- Families with children
- School or other groups with specific interests
- Cultural festivals or thematic events
Objective
We believe that children are not passive recipients of information but young explorers with immense potential. Our mission is to provide them with the right tools and stimuli to engage with the world around them with curiosity, sensitivity, and creativity.
